I have studied and created art for as long as I can remember. I had my very first art class at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and went on to study art and art history at Gettysburg College and interior design at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC. My desire to learn about and create art continues to be a lifelong passion. (photo credit Cassandra Stanton)
After decades of studying and experimenting with dozens of artistic formats, I have decided to focus my work primarily in the medium of acrylic paint on canvas. It is the medium that moves me to create.
I am inspired by the immensity and wonder of our natural world. Similarly, I am inspired by the built environment, and the way in which architecture and design impact human engagement with the world around us; a dynamic which I explore in the creation of my work.
